Anesteran contine substanta activa numita isofluran. Acesta apartine unui grup de medicamente numit anestezice generale. Anesteran este utilizat pentru anestezia generala din timpul operatiilor. Odata respirat, determina si mentine un somn profund in care dumneavoastra nu veti simti nimic si nici nu veti fi constient de ceea ce se va intampla in timpul operatiei (anestezie generala). Anesteran este un lichid incolor care devine gaz in momentul cand este pus intr-un dispozitiv special numit vaporizator. Acesta se amesteca cu oxigenul pe care il veti respira (inspira).
