Clopidogrel conține clopidogrel 75 mg și aparţine unei clase de medicamente numite antiagregante plachetare. Trombocitele sunt elemente circulante foarte mici din sânge, care se alipesc (se agregă) în timpul formării unui cheag de sânge. Prin prevenirea acestei agregări, medicamentele antiagregante plachetare scad riscul de formare a cheagurilor de sânge (un proces numit tromboză).
