Ea este conceputa ca un strat protector intre piele si bandajul ghipsat. Vata ortopedica este moale la atingere si este facuta din poliester (75 g ± 5 g/m2). Instructiu ni de folosire: vata ortopedica trebuie derulata in jurul membrului, uniform , pentru a evita aparitia cutelor. Se recomanda ca in cazul zonelor foarte umflate si proeminente sa fie utilizat un strat dublu de vata, pentru protectie sporita.
